Keeping Your Casino Cool

May 10, 2021 at 4:49 pm

Keeping Your Casino Cool Of course when I say ‘keeping your casino cool’ I’m not referring to turning up suited and booted like James Bond, but instead the approach to gambling that we take. Unlike the fashion forward aspect of being ‘cool’, keeping your ‘casino cool’ can apply equally to playing on the best australian online casinos and its bricks and mortar equivalents alike. Often our approach is very much aligned with our temperament or attitude to risk. Those more geared towards going ‘full throttle’ may have an all or nothing approach to casino games for instance, whereas the steady and sure types may well be better able to deal with the ups and downs of fortune and keep following a methodical approach.

Some people may find that their online and on-site play differs. Surrounded by others in a bricks and mortar casino they may feel the need to impress and to ‘go for it’. Conversely others may actually feel more constrained to be ‘sensible’ and measured while around others. Online player can have a similar effect. On high roller online casinos in the privacy of their own home, some otherwise measured individuals may well have a more gungo-ho attitude, which realistically may often eventually not play to their advantages or natural strengths. So it’s important to consider what kind of player you are, how the casino environment may influence your play, and how best to reign in some of the unhelpful excesses of your playing approach.

One thing to watch out for when you’ve factored in the above is to recognise your shortcomings. If you’re prone of going ‘on tilt’ when you’re on a bad run set yourself strict limits beforehand. This will help you maximise your wins and minimise your loses. Along the same lines if you tend to not know when to quit, set yourself a fixed period of play before you even start. Also, maybe a ceiling on your wins or loses prior to the session starting too. If you have a bit of structure in place it can go a long way to helping make the most of your casino play, no matter what your particular game of choice is (poker, blackjack, slots, roulette and so on). A certain degree of discipline is central to life, and casinos are no different in that regard!

How to choose the right online casino!

May 10, 2021 at 3:57 pm

How to choose the right online casino! There are a dizzying number of online casino sites in this day and age; all looking as impressive on the surface as one another. All may not be what it seems though and as such there are some basic steps to ensure that you’re getting the most bang for your online casinos buck. It’s best not to leave these things to chance when there are plenty of tried, tested and trusted sites out there to choose from. Time to do your research!

One key area to look out for is online incentives and bonuses. The online casino environment is super competitive when compared to actual physical casinos and so each of them ‘push the boat out’ in terms of offering new (and sometimes existing) customers good reason to sign up with them. Many online casinos match your initial deposit, occasionally up to or into the hundreds of dollars (though there may be conditions attached to this) and so you’re already off to a good start. Others opt to give you free slots spins at signup, some on a weekly or monthly basis. And so really, an important sign up step is in knowing that you’re getting the most out of your initial deposit and time spent on the site going forward.

So really whether you’re searching for the top rated online casino usa, or for casinos elsewhere around the world, it’s important to get the best sign up deal. This will ensure that effectively you can play, to an extent, with someone elses money. That can’t be a bad thing! Other factors to consider when choosing the right online casino for you, include which payment methods are accepted, how easy it is to deposit and withdraw payments, how positive or negative reviews of the casinos in question are, how well known the casino in question is and so on. All of this knowledge comes together to form a clear picture of the site you’re planning on signing up to. It certainly makes sense to do your homework prior to signing up, rather than thinking about these issues later (perhaps too late!) in the day. That puts you in the very best position for those big wins that are on the horizon!

Casinos Down Under!

Casinos Down Under! Being that I’m a UK citizen, there’s not always a lot of call for me to consider the state of play of gambling and casinos in other areas of the world. Sure I’ve seen the bright lights of US casinos (Vegas etc) as those are the default go-to locations for tourists looking for their casino fix. I’ve never been to the other side of the world for instance though, namely Australia, and so whether exploring their bricks and mortar casinos or australianonlinecasinosites online casino options, I’m pretty much in the dark about what the country has to offer in that department. That said, most fans of a flutter will have an awareness of one of two of our Aussie mates biggest bricks and mortar establishments.

For starters, most casino goers interested in the wider world will know about the Melbourne Crown Casino. It’s Australia’s biggest casino complex covering well over 500,000 sq. m.and was completed just before the turn of the century. It features multiple hotels, restaurants (Nobu etc), bars and shopping areas (top names like Harrods and Louis Vuitton). To give you an idea of the scope, as far as casino games go the Crown features 3500 poker machines as well as 500 table games catering for craps, blackjack, roulette and the like. Australian WSOP events and more are also hosted there. All of this neatly comes together in a display of the scale and scope of this impressive casino. Other casinos of note in the country include Star Casino, Sydney and the Treasury Casino, Brisbane.

Of course there are real money casinos both online and off that can and do impress. It could be argued that nothing can replace the ‘being there’ aspect of a night out at the casino. It’s very much a chalk and cheese situation though, because by the same token nothing can really rival the convenience factor of online casinos, which it has to be said often capture both bricks and mortar casino games and experiences in precise fashion. Another big plus of online casino options is the speed at which new games, such as slots options, can be made available to players. The number of devices games can be played on too, and location independent nature. Realistically both have their place though, and so if you find yourself on your travels it’s certainly not a bad idea to pop into the local casino to get a feel of the people and the place, especially if it’s somewhere as impressive as the Melbourne Crown.

CasiNO or Yes?

May 10, 2021 at 2:01 pm

CasiNO or Yes? A person’s character often informs the chances they take in life. Some have as ‘steady as you go’ approach to everything, from the risks they take to the counting of pennies. It can of course be good to have such a structured and steady outlook to life, though at the same time it could be said that it sucks the joy out of life. Some are at the exact opposite end of the spectrum; risk takers to the extreme. Whether it’s extreme sports or an unrivaled hedonism, this ‘life to the full’ type approach can also have its own short comings. I tend to find myself at a midway point, the odd adventurous holiday abroad and play on casinos online but nothing too crazy. A sane balance and just reward for those busy and stressful work weeks that we all have to endure in life.

I never quite got people who never set foot in a casino, believing it to be something that it isn’t, or something they’re somehow above. So many aspects of life, in fact arguably most of the important ones, are gambles of one kind of another anyway and much more consequently so than a spin of a roulette wheel or game of blackjack. Even those investing in shares for instance are taking a gamble. It may well be painted as pure research and calculation but there is always plenty that you don’t or can’t know.

One plus that casinos have is that you actually know what the house edge is, and with games such as roulette or some slots games there isn’t actually a huge house advantage. So you can play which games match your own personal risk profile. And of course with some games like poker for instance your natural or learned abilities can actually overcome the odds and leads to you making a healthy profile from other players. This of course applies both offline and online, since nowadays best payout online casinos are available to all. Many will think nothing of playing the lottery, viewing it as a ‘bit of fun’, but fail to see that odds-wise it’s not a great bet to make compared to lots of other options out there.

So, in moderation, I say that saying ‘yes’ to casinos is far from a bad choice. For most it’s just the occasional bit of fun and way to unwind, and in today’s world, which is either ‘a mile a minute’ in pace, or generally quite stressful, having ways to unwind is a useful way of opting out of the rat-race for a while.
