Fedor Holz Introduction

Fedor Holz is a German poker player. He was born in Germany in 1993 and had a difficult childhood. After finishing school, Holz went to study informatics at University, yet that left him feeling unfulfilled until he met a group of young people living a great life fueled by their poker winnings.

Holz then started playing in some home games, and it didn’t turn out that well as he had limited knowledge about the game. It, however, did not deter him; instead, it motivated him to learn more and work closely with experienced players. As time passed, he became so immersed in the game that he decided to quit University. And this was the start of his lucrative career as a professional poker player.

Poker Career

This young German came out of nowhere and conquered the poker world, amassing millions in tournament winnings. He could play several tables at once and was particularly attracted to multi-table tournaments (MTT’S). His live results were spectacular; however, he also has some spectacular online wins under the moniker GrownUpGuy.

His Poker career took shape in 2014 when he decided to move to Austria. In that same year, Fedor managed to take down the PokerStars Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event and earned himself a cool $1.3 million. The high Roller tournaments were where Fedor felt most comfortable, and in May –June 2016, he won well over $11 million, but his most significant win was in the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop, where he banked just shy of $5 million and won his first WSOPP bracelet in the process.

Where is he now?

In 2016 he dropped a bombshell announcing he was ready to retire and move onto new challenges. He could not stay away too long and was back in full swing in Jan 2017, and he’s continued to dominate the poker world and is an ambassador for the fastest growing brand GGPoker.
